Tyrone and Cinda Brown were both raised in Augusta, Georgia. Growing up as army brats, their paths never crossed as children. Years later, after meeting at Augusta Technical College and dating for two years, they got married on August 12, 2006.
Before meeting Tyrone, Cinda had already earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama from Spelman College and was involved in the performing arts community. In college, she performed in stage productions such as the Amen Corner, Westside Story, and Shango Diaspora and the World. She also worked behind the scenes on various staged plays which provided her with the knowledge and skills needed to put a professional theatrical production together from beginning to end. Around 2003, Cinda returned to Augusta and worked at the Augusta Mini Theatre, as an assistant instructor and stage manager for about 5 years. In addition, she created dance programs at urban community centers. This allowed her to touch the lives of diverse groups of youth, all ages. Eventually, she took her creativity to the next level by writing and creating her own theatrical productions. Thus, so far, she has three theatrical productions under her belt, "A Place Where Two Roads Meet," "We Speak to Nations," and "The Sound." She is currently working on a new project entitled the "U'Neek." Cinda's passion for the performing arts intrigued Tyrone's interest in the performing arts world. He has been Cinda's greatest supporter and fan and has acted in her staged plays and assisted her with directing. Complimenting Cinda's creative nature, Tyrone earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Phoenix University. For years, they have dreamed of ways of infusing Tyrone's business knowledge with Cinda's creative knowledge. Now, their dreams have come true! They are the creators of G.L.A.D. (God Lead and Directed) Productions, LLC. The purpose of G.L.A.D. is to produce quality entertainment the entire family can enjoy. They aim to do this by remaining rooted and grounded in faith principles while producing creative pieces that speak to real life issues and situations in a pure and righteous manner. Their belief is dramatic, comical, or even action stories can be real without lowering our values and standards. |
